What do you do each day?
Assess Construction Certificates. Conduct inspections on stormwater, drainage, building, swimming pools and the like. Report on inspections.

What do you like most about your job?
It relates to my previous work as a builder, I’m not confined to being behind a computer the whole day, as the inspections create the opportunity to be outdoors & be on-site.

What did you do to qualify?
There were no previous qualifications required, only essential criteria such as a driver’s license and white card. Prior building & construction experience was preferable.

What’s next in your career?
My short term goal is to gain qualification as an A3 Certifier, then with experience I hope to reach A1. This will require several years of experience.
